Venue Photography: Hotel, Restaurant and Café Photographer in Bodrum

Venue photography, video and drone for hotels, boutique hotels, restaurants, beach clubs and cafés, planned around Bodrum's light.

What’s included

  • Rooms, lobby, pool, restaurant and exterior photography
  • Exposure blending that balances window views with interiors
  • Golden-hour and blue-hour exterior hero shots
  • Menu and food photography plus lifestyle scenes
  • Optional drone footage and a short venue film
  • Files ready for your website, OTAs and social media

A guest usually sees your hotel, restaurant or beach club for the first time on a phone screen, in a scroll that lasts a few seconds. If those seconds don't show how spacious the room is, how the terrace looks over the sea and how good the plates are, the booking goes to another tab. At Bodrum Photography we build our hotel photographer in Bodrum and venue photography service around exactly that moment: photos, video and drone footage that show your venue as it really is, but at its best hour and from its best angle.

Over more than 12 years and 600+ completed projects we have photographed hotel rooms, café menus, yacht saloons, exhibition spaces and much in between. This page explains concretely what we shoot, how we shoot it and under what conditions, so you know exactly what you are getting before you ask for a quote.

Why a hotel photographer in Bodrum needs a specialist approach

Venues in Bodrum live by the light. Whitewashed walls glare in the midday sun while interiors sit several stops darker than the view outside. Exposing both the bay through the window and the room itself correctly is impossible in a single automatic frame. Add the afternoon meltem wind, parasols flapping around the pool and sun loungers that never empty in high season, and it becomes clear that a venue shoot has to be planned by the day and by the hour.

Our approach is simple: shoot every space at its own best hour, keep verticals straight, keep colours true, and avoid ultra-wide angles that make a room look bigger than it is. When guests arrive they should find what they saw in the photo; that directly shapes your reviews and your complaint rate. Good venue photography doesn't exaggerate, it convinces.

What we photograph

Hotels, boutique hotels and villas

Rooms and suites, bathroom details, lobby, pool, spa, breakfast area, beach and jetty. We produce horizontal frames for booking platforms and your own website and vertical frames for Instagram and ads on the same day. To show where the property sits and how close it is to the sea, we add an aerial view with our drone footage service. One aerial frame answers the guest's question, "how far is the beach?"

Restaurants, beach clubs and cafés

The atmosphere, the bar, the terrace, the sunset table and, of course, the food. We shoot dish-by-dish product and food photography for menus and delivery platforms, then add lifestyle frames of service and guests in motion. For beach clubs along the Türkbükü and Yalıkavak coast we build the schedule around sunset so the shift from day to night is captured in a single shoot.

Shops, showrooms and event spaces

Boutiques, galleries, wedding and event venues, museums and exhibition spaces. For event venues, showing the empty hall and the fully set-up version separately is what your sales team needs most: clients see both capacity and atmosphere.

Light, season and timing

In Bodrum, timing is half the photograph. As a rule we work like this:

  • Morning (08:00–11:00): east-facing rooms, the breakfast area and wide views while the pool surface is still calm.
  • Midday: interior details, bathrooms and spa; limited exterior use because of hard shadows.
  • Golden hour: terraces, façade, beach and restaurant atmosphere with warm light and long shadows.
  • Blue hour: façade, pool and terrace with the lights on. For hotels and restaurants this is usually the image that sells.

The most productive window is late April to early June: gardens and bougainvillea are at their best, occupancy is still low and rooms are easy to shoot empty. September and October are also excellent for sea colour and soft light. July and August are possible too; they simply need tighter coordination for short closures of shared areas and for guest privacy.

Tip: blue hour lasts only 20–30 minutes. Decide in advance which space gets that window; it is usually worth reserving it for a single hero shot.

Our technical approach

  • Exposure bracketing and blending so the view outside and the interior look natural in one frame.
  • Perspective correction so verticals stay straight and architecture never looks like it is tipping over.
  • Colour management that keeps fabrics, wood, stone and marble true to life.
  • Light styling where needed: cushions, bedspreads, table settings, flowers and control of every lamp.
  • Optional human element: room service, a guest reading by the pool or a waiter serving adds story to a frame.
  • Video and drone: 30–60 second venue films and short vertical clips for social media.

Why plan photo, video and drone together

Many businesses book photos first, video a few months later and drone in mid-season. The result is three different lights, three colour languages and a pool that has to be closed three times. When we plan all three in one shoot day, rooms are prepared once, blue hour is used for both stills and video, and the drone flies over the calm morning sea. Because every visual carries the same light and colour character, your website, booking pages and Instagram feed show one consistent brand. We come to you with all equipment anywhere on the peninsula, from Bodrum town to Yalıkavak and Türkbükü; your team only needs to follow the preparation checklist.

Shoot-day preparation checklist

  1. Share a priority list of spaces and where the images will be used (website, booking platforms, brochure, social media).
  2. Set rooms up as they would be just before a guest arrives; remove personal items, cables and promotional posters.
  3. Agree short closure times for the pool and beach area with your team.
  4. Talk to the kitchen about the menu order; dishes should come out one by one, fresh, in shooting order.
  5. Check that every light works and that curtains and windows are clean.

Delivery and usage

Photos are delivered in high resolution for web, booking platforms and print, with additional crops for social media. Video and vertical clips are prepared in the formats you need. If you want to turn the shoot into a steady stream of posts through the season, combine it with our social media content creation packages. We describe what we look for on hotel shoots in detail in our article on hotel photography that increases bookings.

Pricing and free quote

The cost of a venue shoot depends on the number of spaces, the variety of room types, whether you need video and drone, the length of the shoot day and how the images will be used. That is why, instead of a fixed price list, we prepare a clear plan and a free quote for your venue. Tell us briefly about your hotel, restaurant or café, share its location and your opening dates, and we will plan the right shoot day together. Request your free quote.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time of year for a hotel shoot in Bodrum?

Late April to early June and September to October are ideal: the light is soft, gardens are in bloom and occupancy is lower. We also shoot in summer, but shared areas such as the pool and beach need short, planned closures.

How long does a venue shoot take?

A café or restaurant is usually finished in half a day. A hotel with several room types, a pool, a restaurant and blue-hour exteriors typically needs a full day, and large resorts may take two.

Can I use the photos on Booking.com and other platforms?

Yes. We deliver images in resolutions and formats suited to your website, booking platforms, social media and print. The scope of use is agreed at the quote stage.

Can drone and video be shot on the same day?

Yes, stills, a short venue film and drone footage can be planned for the same day. Drone flights depend on weather, wind and local flight permissions, which we check and handle.
